Defining Project Breakdown Structures
PO5 enable the interactive definition of project
breakdown structures, Through a very intuitive configurator, project
contents can be broken down by combining Product Breakdown with Activity
Breakdown in order to define the Work Breakdown Structure.
The resulting WBS is immediately available in Microsoft Project as
the project tasks list.
The use of multiple breakdown structures helps all project stakeholders
gain visibility insight their project information by analyzing data
according to many possible hierarchical views.
Planning & Scheduling
ProjectObjects Planning & Scheduling capabilities
are based on a seamless integration with Microsoft Project. The project’s
schedule can created either using the ProjectObjects web interface
or using the Microsoft Project desktop client. Resource can be planned
over project tasks using few mouse clicks.
Resource planning and control
is based on subset of powerful functions that enables users to assign
resource at skill or name level, substitute resource according to
their skills, locate the right resource in case of overload assignments
or optimize resource usage using ad-hoc phasing. Chart views are available
to analyze baseline, current or actual workloads at any level of detail,
by employee, by task or by project.
Resource Management
ProjectObjects Resource Management unique capabilities
enable project managers, department managers and executives to share
a single and clear picture of enterprise resources workload. All resource
assignments can be analyzed at company, portfolio, project, departm

and employee level in order to optimize their usage across projects
and portfolios.
Resource Management functions are grouped under the Resource Explorer
module where resource data can be easily modified to perform simulations,

defined workflows and then automatically consolidated by project,
client, demanding department, contract, task type, project category,

designed to enable projects teams to share in a single repository
Issues, Actions, Changes and Documents information.
All these items can be easily related to each other in order to navigate
through pre-defined paths collaboration info. Project documents can
be stored in the ProjectObjects repository and downloaded via Web
when required.
Cost Management
ProjectObjects includes a set of embedded capabilities
which supports cost management process from budgeting to control &
forecasting. Costs can be organized according to company CBS –
Cost Breakdown Structure and Accounting Codes in order to guarantee
cross-projects consolidation at company level. The seamless integration
with resource management, contracts & rates, timesheets and expenses
tracking enable the full control of project costs & revenues,
providing to Executives and Project Manager a clear picture of financial
project’s health.
Cost data are perfectly integrated with project schedule, can be organized
according to multiple hierarchical codes, and integrated with company
ERP systems.
Reporting & Analysis
With
ProjectObjects Reporting and Analysis module project information can be explored, analyzed and shared using a very
powerful set of analytical tools.
Schedule, Resource and Cost information can be accessed via web using
“drill-down” and “slice & dice” approach
to analyse data according to user-defined multi-project hierarchical
views.
A pro-active alerting system informs users when project schedule,

Reporting capabilities are based on Business Objects XI - Crystal

With ProjectObjects you can implement
portfolio management as a dynamic
process wherein the list of portfolio projects can be constantly revised
and optimized. In this process new projects are evaluated, selected
and prioritized. Existing projects may be accelerated, killed, or
